Kelly's Pool Care Owners, Kelly McNeely and Mike Buchhorn

Kelly and Mike each have over 30 years experience in the swimming pool industry. Both started their careers on the retail side at Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies. They later decided to open their own business and provide the same high level of service and friendly knowledge that their retail customers had become accustomed to.

Kelly and Mike perform the cleaning, repairs and are always directly accessible to the customer. Many large competitors hire inexperienced people who have little knowledge about swimming pools and lack personal attention to your needs. Our policy also doesn’t bind you to a strict and mandated contract. We bill you for services provided and equipment costs but only as you require it. We make sure that all your pool needs are serviced in a professional and prompt manner.

Meet your Kelly’s Pool Care team

Kelly McNeely

Owner

Kelly is a native-born Texan who grew up in Irving as the youngest of four boys. He attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University where he obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration.

He launched his career working for Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies in 1986, where he managed stores and supervised service and renovation departments in Texas and California.

He started Kelly’s Pool Care & Renovation in 2001 to gain the freedom to implement his own ideas and to allow more time with his family. Kelly’s Pool Care and Renovation has been growing ever since. Kelly believes that courteous customer service with excellent communication and honesty have been the key’s to the business’ success. He finds renovation projects particularly rewarding. “I really enjoy helping customers beautify their pool’s appearance, like steering customers to the best materials to achieve ‘look’ they desire.”

Kelly has been married 27 years and is the proud father of two adult children. He is a huge Dallas Cowboy football fan and a highly dedicated friend, father, and husband.

Mike Buchhorn

Owner

Mike was born in Austin and raised in Northwest Dallas. He first dipped his toe in the pool business when he began working at a summer job for Leslie’s Pool Supplies between semesters at East Texas State University. After college Mike went to work for Leslie’s full time, managing a number of locations from Northern California to the Richardson and Plano area for 16 years.

Mike joined Kelly as co-owner of Kelly’s Pool Care back in July of 2005. Together Mike and Kelly have built their business almost entirely on word-of-mouth, with customers helping to spread the word about Kelly’s Pool Care’s top-notch friendly service.

Mike married in 2000. He and his wife have two beautiful daughters.

Zach

Pool Care Specialist

Zach grew up in Flower Mound, Texas, and began with Kelly’s in July of 2015. He is hard working, intelligent, and polite. Zach knows what he is doing and is eager to expand his knowledge even further. He is continously learning more and more about the pool service industry.

We are happy to share that Zach is engaged to be married in September of 2017. His wife will be a very lucky to have him. He’s a great guy!
